A 75 year old Syrian woman was sentenced to 40 lashes, four months imprisonment , and deportation from the kingdom for mingling. The actual charge was because she had men in her home that were not related to her. According to Saudi newspaper , Al- Watan, Khamisa Mohammed Sawadi had trouble stemming for last year when the religious police entered her home and found her with two men that were not related to her. The two men, Fahd and Hadian, were arrested after Fahd told police that Sawadi breast fed him as an infant, so she saw him as a son to her in Islam. Fahd then told police that his friend Hadian escorted him as they were there to deliver bread to the elderly woman. There is a law that states that a woman cannot have a man her house that is not related to her.
